The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) or the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) should be kept separately as a general hospital for providing other healthcare besides COVID-19 treatment, demanded the International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA).
IPSA president Joychandra Konthoujam, in a statement, pointed out the need of setting up more COVID Care Centre in the state as the pandemic is far from over.
Stating that online classes is not possible for all sections of the society, he also appealed to the people to use lockdown as an opportunity to teach moral education to their children.
The IPSA president also stated that any person involved in illegal activities such as drug trafficking and business during the lockdown should be given punishment at the earliest.
IPSA will not accept delimitation based on the wrong census and it will also oppose the framework agreement, it added.
Vocational education should be encouraged and developed in the State so that the state can be self dependent.
The state government should also make a proper irrigation system and also make sure that farmers in the State are provided with seasonal foods and plants for their production. There is also a need to organise frequent cultural programmes for Manipuris staying outside Manipur, the IPSA stated..
