Inmates at relief camps get livelihood training

Inmates of relief camps in Kakching learn how to make detergent, soap and dishwash in a training programme held on Friday.

A one-day training programme for relief camp inmates was organised by the District Mission Management Unit (DMMU) Kakching, Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM), and Department of RD and PR Govt of Manipur by joining hands with Nupi Sintha VLF Wabagai on Friday.

Inmates of the relief camps opened at Old Age Home Kakching and Kha Manipur College Girls Hostel attended the training programme held at Kha Manipur College Kakching Multipurpose Hall. The training programme taught the inmates how to make detergent, soap and dishwash.

Speaking at the programme, District Mission Management Unit (DMMU) Kakching, manager Naorem James said that the training programme is organised to help the inmates in financially supporting themselves.
