The Hill Tribal Council (HTC) Moreh on Monday expressed gratitude to the Medical staff of Moreh Hospital, including the Malaria department, for taking up measures to control the spread of Dengue in the border town.
A joint meeting of the staff of Moreh Hospital led by chief medical officer of Tengnoupal District Jangkholen Touthang and leaders of the Hill Tribal Council was held at the office of the HTC on Friday, stated a release.
In the meeting, the Medical staff reported that at present, there are only five Dengue cases patient at the hospital, it stated. The decreasing number of dengue patients is the result of the sincere and tireless efforts and service rendered by the Medical department, it mentioned.

It stated that the HTC appreciated the medical staff of the hospital and expressed its sincere gratitude to them. The council also requested the staff to work with more enthusiasm in curbing such diseases in future as well and sought the general public to extend cooperation to the doctors and nurses in all their endeavours, it further stated.
The meeting also sought the attention of the state government to upgrade the hospital infrastructures, line departments, renovation of the hospitals and above all posting of the requisite strength of doctors and nurses in this border town Hospital, it added.
