Heirok HYVA Association members repaired the 5 km stretch inter village road from Heirok part (iii) Kabo leikai till Waba Hill, mostly resided by Maring community people in Tengnoupal district on Sunday.

The HYVA association said that the road was repaired by the contributions made by the drivers of the association. Heirok HYVA Association secretary Laishram Rajkumar said that the said route is a lifeline for HYVA association drivers. Steps are being taken up to repair important routes as the drivers cannot carry their goods in the hill districts, he added.

He said that HYVA will continue to repair the deteriorated routes phase wise. HYVA also appealed to the local clubs and organisations not to restrict movement of HYVA vehicles for the welfare of the drivers. The association also extended wishes to the drivers on the occasion of Driver’s day.
