Government seals Tengnoupal-Ukhrul border from March 3 till March 6

The Tengnoupal-Ukhrul border will be sealed as a precautionary measure against any possible breach of law and order during the second phase state Assembly election.

The Tengnoupal district magistrate on Wednesday ordered sealing of Tengnoupal district border with Ukhrul district from March 3 till March 6 in view of the second phase state Assembly elections 2022.

The border of the two districts will be sealed as a precautionary measure to prevent any possible breach of law and order during the election process, the order mentioned.

The order was issued in compliance to a letter dated February 26 from the Superintendent of Police, Ukhrul in view of the second phase of the state general election, stated the order signed by the district magistrate of Tengnoupal, Mannuamching.

The second phase of the election is sheduled on March 5. It includes all the hill districts, except Churanchandpur and Kangpokpi, where election was conducted in the first phase on February 28.
