A major fire mishap was averted at ELORA Hotel, W/No.9 Moreh, Tengnoupal district Manipur on Monday evening, thanks to the timely intervention of fire tenders from Moreh Fire Service Station.

Fire broke out at the laundry section located on the terrace of the three-storey hotel building around 3:32 pm Monday, which was reported by locals.

Fire tenders from Moreh Fire Service station rushed to the spot and doused the fire. The fire was put under control around 3:50pm. There was a high chance that the fire could spread further but timely intervention of the Moreh fire service averted major fire.

Origin of the fire and approximate value of the property damage is yet to be known till the filling of this report.
