Enraged protesters slaughter cow on BJP flag over candidates list

The Manipur BJP on Sunday announced the full list of party candidates to contest in the ensuing Manipur Assembly election.

In a video that went viral on Sunday evening, a cow with its head on a BJP flag was slaughtered by some villagers in a protest against the denial of BJP tickets for the ensuing Manipur Assembly Election.

On Sunday, the Manipur BJP announced the full list of party candidates to contest in the ensuing Manipur Assembly election.

Moreover, many supporters of the intending candidates who were rejected by the BJP were also seen torching BJP flags and banners on the streets as a sign of protest.

In the viral video, the protesters were heard using expletives against Chief Minister N Biren Singh who is a member of the Manipur BJP ticket Committee.

On witnessing that there are numerous BJP intending candidates in various assembly constituencies of the state, many political parties had earlier predicted that there will be unrest among the members of the BJP following the ticket announcement.
