A door-to-door IEC Campaign on Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign organised by District level Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign, Bishnupur was carried out on Tuesday at Kumbi Keithel and other 10 adjoining villages.
Spreading the message of ensuring a drug and substance abuse free society in the district, the campaign covered households inhabited in and around Kumbi Lai Sandhong, Sandhong Mamang Leikai, Eching Chaipi Leikai, Uchamakhong, Kumbi Terakha, Kumbi Mayai Leikai, Kumbi Lairak Achouba , Kumbi Bamol Leikai, Kumbi Setapur Maning Leikai etc.
Speaking on the sideline of the occasion, chief functionary of Anouba Punsikon IRCA Keisam Pradipkumar said that for evoking a strong public opinion on drugs with involvement of children, a kite flying event would be organised at Moirang under the theme ‘High with Kites, Down with Drugs’ very soon.
The campaign is undertaken under District level Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign Bishnupur .
Among the 272 districts worst affected by drugs in the country, eight districts including Bishnupur are from Manipur.
