They also appealed not to drag the Meira Paibis and local clubs organisations towards the dirty politics of India.

In a release on Saturday, the MICY stated that they can see the politicians and armed groups of the hill districts teaming up for electoral politics from the past and can make their desired candidates win the election. It alleged that it is not election happening in the state but it is selection.

It said that the indigenous people of the state have been suffering from the large influx of illegal immigrants in the state from Myanmar and Bangladesh and even getting the right to vote in our country. The population of illegal immigrants has reached lakhs after the Kuki militants also brought in numerous illegal immigrants in the state.

It added that the deteriorating financial condition of the state has greatly affected the people of the state and women are most affected by it. It also appealed to the people that it is high time for the people of the state to unite against all the challenges faced by the people of the state due to the ongoing violence.
