The Kanglei Sintha Semkat Lup Singamei Bazar on Thursday highlighted the immense plight of daily wage earners, especially the women vendors who are reeling under tough times due to the prevailing communal crisis which erupted in the state on May 3.

The association, in a release, said that the daily wage earners are facing immense difficulties to repay daily loans to micro-finance services and banks as businesses have been abruptly halted owing to the prevailing situation.
It urged the authorities concerned and stakeholders to resolve the issue in an amicable manner so as to restore peace and normalcy in the state as soon as possible.
