CME event held at Babina

The American Oncology Institute at Babina Specialty Hospital and the College of Nursing jointly organised a highly informative Continuing Medical Education (CME) event at AOI Babina Specialty Hospital in Khabeisoi, Imphal East on Saturday, with participation of around 60 nursing students.

The focus of the CME was on ‘Cancer Screening, Early Detection and Treatment Modalities’, stated a release. Senior Consultant Radiation Oncology Dr Dhaneshore Sharma and Consultant Surgical Oncology Dr Dhanabir Thangjam delivered engaging and enlightening presentations on various aspects of cancer screening, early detection, and advanced treatment modalities during the event, it said.

During the event, facility Director of AOI Babina Specialty Hospital, Manas Majumder, said patients possessing AB-PMJAY and CMHT health cards will not be required to pay the present hospital charges of Rs 25,000 for PET CT Scan, it mentioned. He asserted that the hospital is committed to providing accessible and quality healthcare to the people of the state and neighbouring Northeast states, it added.
