Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Wednesday held a meeting on street vendors' issues with ministers Yumnam Khemchand, Kashim Vashum and Letpao Haokip, state chief secretary, DGP and other senior government officials.

"Held a meeting with Hon'ble Ministers, Shri Yumnam Khemchand, Shri Kashim Vashum and Shri Letpao Haokip, CS, DGP and other senior government officials to discuss issues related to street vendors, construction of market sheds, allotment of vending space, among others," Biren tweeted.

Recently, the Imphal Free Press highlighted the plight of women street vendors in Imphal in its report published on July 7, 2022. Also, on several occasions, the IFP has been drawing the government attention to issues related to street vendors in the state.
