Preparations are in full swing in connection with the celebration of Khongjom Day with the District Administration, Thoubal, organising a cleanliness drive at Khongjom War Memorial Complex on Sunday from 7 am.
The cleanliness drive was held to keep the historical site of Khongjom War Memorial neat and clean for the State Level Khongjom Day celebration which is going to be held on April 23.
During the camp, grass cutting, trimming of bushes, cleaning water bodies among others were done by the participants from line departments to facelift the memorial complex for the visitors.
Staffs of various departments including Municipal Councils of Thoubal, Wangjing Lamding, Yairipok, Shikhong Sekmai, MI, WRD, ZEO, FSA, Transport, Forest Division, Thoubal Police, Fire Service among other participated in the cleanliness drive camp.
