Christian leaders lead 'Fasting Prayer' for free, fair election in Kangpokpi

The event was organised by Vision Saitu 2022 as a part of the progressing campaign for Free and Fair elections.

A ‘Fasting Prayer’ at Christian Centre Church Leimakhong (CCCL) for free and fair election was organised by Vision Saitu 2022 after two motor rallies in Saitu assembly constituency.

The event was organised as a part of the progressing campaign for Free and Fair elections.

Prominent Christian leaders such as president, All Manipur Christian Organisation reverend S Prim Vaiphei; reverend Lunkhosei Haokip, reverend Nipamacha, Pr Johny Shimray, and reverend Doujahen spoke on several issues, challenging the society as a whole and electoral politics in particular during the event.

Essentially, the message of the fasting prayer centres on the need for moral ethical principles in electoral politics.

Vision Saitu 2022 had in the past also held several campaigns and met several social and religious leaders, organised motor rallies and awareness seminars in the effort to campaign for free and fair elections.

Vision Saitu 2022 extended sincere thanks to all the participants of the programme which had contributed in the effort to pioneer change and transformation and appealed to all, especially the people of Manipur, to advocate for well-being and development.
