A block level youth parliament organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Churachandpur in collaboration with the Department of Political Science, Rayburn College was held on Thursday.
The youth parliament on “Problems and prospects of Nation Building in India' was held at Rayburn College auditorium located at Gangpimual, Churachandpur.
In his keynote address, Deputy Secretary OSD NYK, Churachandpur H Doungel said that the programme was organised to fashion the youth on the way the Indian parliament was functioning and to advocate the youth to take a more meaningful role to shape the society. He expressed his hope that the discussion on the Youth parliament will go a long way in helping the youth.
The youth parliament was organised in such a manner that it was a discussion on the day’s topic wherein the youths were divided into group A and group B with five members each and they were judged by eminent scholars like Assistant professor of Rayburn College Paullenthang Khongsai and Asst professor Chungkhosei Baite and Asst professor Mr T Lawmpi.
