The Association of Contractual Staff of ICDS-Mission, 2016 on Thursday demanded declaration of the latest Special DPC result conducted by the Social Welfare department for appointment of contractual staff for three different schemes.
The three schemes are Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojna, Mahila Shakti Kendra and Poshan Abhiyaan.
Failure to declare the Special DPC result by January 31 will compell the association to take up various forms of democratic agitations, cautioned general secretary of the association, M Romeshchandra, while speaking to the media at the Manipur Press Club in Imphal.
He informed that the contractual staff of 2016 discontinued their service after the ending of their one-year term.
However, the High Court of Manipur directed the state government to consider a Special DPC for the contractual staff who have ended their term, in the recruitment of new contractual staff for the three schemes which was notified on January 11, 2019, he added.
As a result, the state government conducted the Special DPC on March 16 and 18, 2020 but was declared cancelled on October 5, 2021, he said, adding that another fresh Special DPC was conducted December 31, 2021.
Stating that the result of the latest Special DPC is yet to be declared, he appealed to the state government to declare the result by January 31 considering the issue of unemployment faced by all those candidates who are now aged bar.
