A former IDAS (Indian Defence Account Service) officer who retired as principal controller of defence account in 2020 Tualkhan Kiamlo Hangzo held an announcement of his candidacy in the coming general election on Monday, bringing the number of candidates to six in Singngat assembly constituency.

A dedication function with the theme ‘vote for hope, vote for change’ was held at Singngat Market shed.

The candidate said that he was not new to Singngat as he was born and studied there. The power and water shortage at the area can be solved with mini Hydro projects at the nearby rivers which are abundantly available at the area, he pointed out. Hangzo also listed his manifesto at the occasion.
