The Manipur College Teachers’ Association (AMCTA) has stated that it has resolved to call off its ceasework strike that was scheduled from February 12 but kept suspended since February 11, following an announcement made by the chief minister.
The meeting also resolved to launch a democratic movement when the colleges’ reopen, if the government fails to implement the 7th UGC pay scales and UGC regulations, 2018, it stated.
The decisions have been made since the college teachers are not in the position of launching the strike/agitation at the moment due to the pandemic, it added.
