In order to make Manipur self-reliant in resource, it is the mission of the BJP government to make Manipur an international tourist hot-spot, he informed. In this regards, the central government has already recommended the World Bank to sanction Rs 1,450 crore for improving the infrastructure of tourism in Manipur, added Biren.

Bhupender in his speech informed that he will take the whole responsibility on behalf of the Central government to take up an "integrated management plan" for the development of the Loktak Lake.

The integrated management plan will help in the development of the lake without causing any harm to the biodiversity of the lake as well as the livelihood of the Loktak Lake community, said the Union minister.
