As many as 45 contestants, including 27 men and 18 women, are in the fray for the coveted Mr and Miss Kanggui titles after the final audition round held at district headquarters Kangpokpi.
Mr & Miss Kanggui contest is a part of the Kangpokpi Youth Union Golden Jubilee celebration to be held on March 7.
The final grand audition from eighteen wards of Kangpokpi town was participated by about a hundred contestants. There were no disqualifications in the first and second rounds as the judges wanted all the participants to perform in both rounds and selections were made in the final round only.
The final round held at Community Hall Kangpokpi was mind-blowing as all the participants were at their best with their talents and skills.
The three audition rounds were conducted under the aegis of Mr & Miss Kanggui Sub Committee headed by Vahpi Doungel and Achee Misao, Mr Thadou under the supervision of Kangpokpi Youth Union Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee.
Speaking to the media, Vahpi Doungel, the sub-committee head said that they are really excited to discover the young aspirants across Kangpokpi to compete for the coveted title as this can be an opportunity for aspiring to become models or actors, blistering their careers in the entertainment industry.
She also said that Mr & Miss Kanggui will not be just about style and beauty but also a journey worth witnessing where the most deserving will be crowned and will carry the torch further to inspire many others.
Winners of Mr & Miss Kanggui carry a cash prize of Rs 70,000 each while subtitles, including Best Physique (boys), Perfect 10 (girls), Mr & Miss Congeniality, and Best Model carry a cash prize of Rs 8,000 each.
