44 AR organises walkathon to spread awareness on vigilance

Throughout India, the vigilance awareness week is being observed from October 26 to November 1 with the theme, “Independent India @ 75: Self Reliance with Integrity.”

As part of nationwide Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) celebrated every year, a host of activities were conducted to spread awareness and promote vigilance across the sections in Tamenglong.

Throughout India, the vigilance awareness week is being observed from October 26 to November 1 with the theme, “Independent India @ 75: Self Reliance with Integrity.”

To generate awareness in the public at large about the ill effects of corruption, 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 Sector/ IGAR (East) organised a walkathon on Saturday in Tamenglong town.  

The participants walked through various lanes and bylanes of the town with banners on vigilance awareness and spreading the message of self reliance with integrity.

People from different walks of life joined for the walkathon, also promoting Fit India mission among the netizens.

As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, such events are being organised by the battalion in different parts of the district further spreading the awareness on ill effects of corruption.
