44 AR celebrates Har Ghar Tiranga in Tamenglong

44 Assam Rifles also saluted the soldiers and their families who sacrificed their lives for safeguarding the nation as the nation celebrates 75 years of Independence as Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.

44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 Sector AR/ IGAR (EAST) organised a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ event in Tamenglong on Friday, to reach out to the Army and Assam Rifles veterans and families as a run up to the celebrations of Independence Day on August 15.  

Interacting with Ex-servicemen and their families, commandant, 44 AR welcomed them and extended warm wishes of the battalion for upcoming Independence Day celebrations. 

Addressing the gathering, he asserted that they are the role models for the society and extended his gratitude for the services they have rendered. The ex-servicemen exchanged views on improvement in functioning of the Ex-servicemen cell at battalion headquarters.

On behalf of the battalion and as a token of gratitude for their sacrifices towards the nation and the society, the Commandant presented veterans, ex-servicemen and families with gifts. The patriotic songs played during the event filled everyone with josh and pride.

Later, National Flags were distributed to all the attendees. They were motivated to display the National Flag at their respective homes as part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. The event culminated with all participants sloganeering ‘Bharat mata ki jai.’

The battalion in its efforts has been reaching out to the Veterans and Veer Naries continuously to know about their wellbeing and problems they face.

Meanwhile, he BJP Tengnoupal district Mandal in collaboration with BJP ST Morcha also carried out Har Ghar Tiranga campaign at Moreh town, as a part of the celebration of 75 Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.They visited every household and distributed the Indian Flag. The households hoisted the flags at their respective residence. The hosting of Indian Flags was held in most of the streets and roads of the town in honour and celebrating of India's 75 years of Independence.
