As many as 25 cadres including one major, two officers and NCOs of National Revolutionary Front Manipur (NRFM) have joined the United National Liberation Front (UNLF) Pambei group along with their weapons.
The cadres were welcomed at a camp in the UNLF (P) brigade at Ingourok, Thoubal district on Monday.
UNLF (P) chief of army in charge Thokchom Sidaba Meitei, Secretary Finance Tonsana, Organisation secretary Nongdol, Colonel Tomnou, Colonel Maipak and Major Khoimu attended the reception ceremony.
UNLF (P) chief of Army in charge Thokchom Sidaba Meitei said that the NRFM cadres led by Major Boicha, second lieutenant Bungja,sergeant major Nongsaba and captain Yuremba joined UNLF (P) to be united in fighting for the state’s freedom. He also appreciated them for trusting and merging with their outfit.
Sidaba Meitei appealed to the remaining members of NRFM and other outfits to amalgamate with UNLF (P) and work together with them.
NRFM Major Boicha said that they joined the outfit in the aim to fight for the freedom of the state together. He also appealed to the other outfits of the state to unite and come as one for the state.
