A total of 21 candidates submitted their nominations for the six assembly constituencies of Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts on Monday.
Dr Chaltonlien Amo (BJP), Ngursanglur Sanate (JD-U) submitted nomination for Tipaimukh (ST) assembly constituency.
Vungzagin Valte (BJP), Thongkhosei Guite (JD-U), Langkhanpau Guite (Independent), Lalhlunsang Sungte (Shiv Sena) submitted nomination for Thanlon (ST) assembly constituency.
T Thangzalam Haokip (Shiv Sena), Nehminthang Haokip (NPP), Letzamang Haokip (BJP) submitted nomination for Henglep (ST) assembly constituency.
James Khuma Hauzel (Ind), V Hangkhanlian (BJP), H Mangchinkhup (INC), Th. Thangzalian (NPP), Jainson Haokip (KNA), Lallianmang alias LM Khaute (JD-U) submitted nomination for Churachandpur (ST) assembly constituency.
K Onler Kom (Independent), George T Haokip (NCP), Khaipao Haokip (NPP), Joshua Thiek (KNA) submitted nomination for Saikot (ST) assembly constituency.
Chinlunthang (KPA), T Hangkhanpau (JD-U) submitted nomination for 60-Singhat (ST) assembly constituency.
The last date of nominations is February 8. Scrutiny of papers will be held on February 9 and last date of withdrawal is February 11. The six assembly constituencies will go to the polls in the first phase on February 27.
