13 more new COVID-19 positive cases in Manipur

The release said that the cumulative number of positive cases reached 1,39,599, including 96 active cases and 2,143 deaths.

Manipur reported 13 new COVID-19 positive cases and zero deaths, according to a release by COVID-19 Common Control Room on Saturday.

Altogether, 399 samples were tested of which 13 tested positive. The positive cases from the general population are from Imphal East (4), Imphal West (1), Bishnupur (2), Tamenglong (2), Chandel (1) and Churachandpur (3). All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the release said.

The release further said that in the last 24 hours, the State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee reported no cases of Covid 19 death; the cumulative number of deaths stands at 2143.

A total of 28 persons were discharged after completion of surveillance. They are from Home Isolation (9) and RIMS (1), SHRI (2), CAPF (1) and Discharge (15), it added.

The release said that the cumulative number of positive cases reached 1,39,599 and recovered cases is 1,37,360. The number of active cases is 96 and recovery rate is 98.40 per cent.

As on August 19, a total of 36 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 8 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur, it added.
