The Indian Air Force is determined to deliver and will never let the supreme sacrifice of India’s soldiers at Galwan in Ladakh go in vain, IAF chief, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria said in Dehradun on Saturday.
“We are well prepared and suitably deployed to respond to any contingency. I assure the nation that we are determined to deliver and will never let the sacrifice of our brave soldiers in Galwan go in vain," the Air Chief Marshal said while addressing a Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) at Air Force Academy (AFA) ,Dundigal in Dehradun on Saturday.
On the night of June 15, 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a violent clash between the Indian and Chinese troops at Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh.
"The security scenario in our region mandates that our armed forces remain prepared and vigilant at all times,” the IAF chief said, adding that “all efforts are made to ensure that the current situation at the LAC is resolved peacefully".
Bhadauria also asserted the resolve by the Indian armed forces to protect the sovereignty of the country at any cost, Bhadauria added.
According to reports, the Chinese side suffered 35 casualties in the Galwan Clash.
Meanwhile, on Saturday morning, the Border Security Force personnel on Patrol duty in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir shot down a Pakistani drone inside the Indian territory along the International Border, official sources said.
