Teachers’ induction training to begin

The Teachers’ Induction training under School Fagathansi Mission’s System Transformation and Rejuvenation of Education (STAR Education) programme will be held in two waves from January 30 till February 9

The Manipur Education department is all set to conduct Teachers’ Induction training under School Fagathansi Mission’s System Transformation and Rejuvenation of Education (STAR Education) programme.

The training will be held in two waves from January 30 till February 9, stated a release on Tuesday. The first wave of training will be held at Kamakhya Pemton College, Langthabal for 152 new schools, equipping over 850 teachers and 150 headmasters across different districts, it stated.

Manipur Education Minister Th Basanta Kumar Singh said that the upcoming teacher induction training will ensure the teachers and headmasters in acquiring essential skills and resources to implement STAR Education programme in their respective schools, it stated.

He asserted that the training underscores a shared commitment of the state government and STAR Education to elevate the standard of education across the government schools in the State, it mentioned.

He further said that in alignment with the state government’s dedication to providing quality education to every government school in the State, STAR Education programme, a key initiative of the School Fagathansi Mission, stands out as a transformative initiative, it stated.

It added that teachers will be trained on the STAR teaching approach which includes classroom management, classroom instructional training and technology integration.

Headmasters will also undergo training on Leadership Skills, Teacher Observation, and feedback, it maintained.

Under the School Fagathansi Mission which is poised to bring about transformative changes in teaching methodologies across Manipur, the STAR Education programme has been running successfully in 253 government schools since its initiation, it added.
