The All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) on its 57th anniversary celebration paid homage to the four martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Manipur in the movement against artificial famine in 1965 which is remembered as Hunger Marchers’ Day.

Hunger Marchers' Day is observed every year on August 27 in memory of the brave patriots who laid down their lives for the common cause of Manipur land, AMSU said in release.

AMSU requested all its former volunteers and executives to attend the function even if the invitation fails to reach them.
