College teachers rally for implementation of UGC 7th Pay in Churachandpur

College teachers in Churachandpur submitted a memorandum to the chief minister demanding UGC 7th Pay

Teachers of Lamka College and Churachandpur College carried out a rally on Wednesday at Churachandpur district after a memorandum was submitted to the chief minister, demanding implementation of 7th UGC Pay and Regulation, 2018.

The memorandum to the chief minister was handed to the DC of Churachandpur, Pawan Yadav by secretary of Lamka College Teachers Association, David Parte in presence of the teaching staff of the two colleges.

The memorandum stated that under FEGOCTA they had been demanding implementation of UGC 7th Pay and Regulation 2018 since December 2018 but no order for its implementation had been issued till date. While other employees of the state government and college teachers of other states are enjoying the 7th UGC pay, it added.

It also stated that the 7th pay has not been implemented even after the state cabinet had approved it on two occasions, which was in the year 2019 and 2020. The college teachers requested for the chief minister’s intervention at the earliest in implementation of 7th pay which was already approved by the state cabinet on August 6, 2020. It further stated to ensure a good academic atmosphere in government colleges.
