Two more persons test COVID-19 in Manipur, tally at 1,39,809

The new COVID-19 positive cases from the general population are from Imphal East and Tengnoupal respectively.

Manipur's COVID-19 confirmed caseload reached 1,39,809 with the detection of two more positive cases on Thursday, and the number of active cases recorded was 11, official sources said.

According to the COVID-19 Common Control Room on Thursday, the new positive cases from the general population are from Imphal East and Tengnoupal. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place, it said.

The State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee reported no death due to COVID-19. The cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths in the state remained 2,148.

Two persons were discharged on Thursday. The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1,37,650 and the recovery rate is 98.46 per cent as on Thursday.

As on September 28, a total of 36 D-type oxygen cylinders and eight B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

A total of 2,35o COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered on September 25. The cumulative vaccination coverage reached 32,34,632 Of it, first dose has been administered to 16,43,358 people, second dose was 13,25,149 and precautionary dose coverage reached 2,65,125.
