Three new COVID-19 positive cases push Manipur's tally to 1,37,165

Two new COVID-19 cases were reported from Imphal West and one case from Imphal East.

Manipur on Tuesday recorded three new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,165 while the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 0.9 per cent.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, of the three COVID-19 cases reported on Tuesday, two cases were reported from Imphal West and one case from Imphal East.

The state also reported four new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,35,008. The recovery rate is 98.43 per cent. Manipur now has 37 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 102 oxygen cylinders and zero B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,06,836 (first dose: 15,48,399 second dose: 11,89,812 precautionary dose: 68,625).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.59 per cent and for the second dose is 50.82 per cent, it mentioned.
