Three more COVID-19 cases push Manipur's tally to 1,39,815

Manipur's COVID-19 confirmed caseload reached 1,39,815 with three more positive cases on Sunday, and the number of active cases recorded was eight, official sources said.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.4 per cent. A total of 127 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur on Sunday. As many as 16,56,256 tests have so far been conducted in the state.

According to the COVID-19 Common Control Room on Sunday, the new positive cases from the general population include two from Imphal West and one from Imphal East. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place, it said.

The State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee reported no death due to COVID-19. The cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths in the state remained 2,148.

Only one person was discharged on Sunday. The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1,37,658 and the recovery rate is 98.46 per cent as on Sunday.

As on October 1, a total of 142 D-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

A total of 288 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered on October 1. The cumulative vaccination coverage reached 32,37,583. Of it, first dose has been administered to 16,43,940 people, second dose was 13,26,354 and precautionary dose coverage reached 2,67,289..
