One new COVID-19 case reported in Manipur, tally at 1,37,222

No new COVID-19 recovered case or death was reported in Manipur on Tuesday.

Manipur on Tuesday recorded one more COVID-19 positive case, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,222 while the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, the single COVID-19 case reported on Monday is from Kangpokpi district.

No new COVID-19 recovered case was reported in the state on Tuesday and the number of recovered cases stood at 1,35,095. The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent. Manipur now has seven COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 145 oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as on May 2.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,48,198 (first dose: 15,57,558 second dose: 12,06,229 precautionary dose: 84,411).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.68 per cent and for the second dose is 51.38 per cent, it mentioned.
