Manipur on Thursday recorded one new COVID-19 positive case, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,225 while the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 0.5 per cent.
According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, the single COVID-19 case reported on Thursday is from Imphal East.
The state reported zero new recoveries, confining the number of recovered cases at 1,35,097. The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent. Manipur now has eight COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.
Meanwhile, a total of 129 oxygen cylinders and 12 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,50,937 (first dose: 15,58,092 second dose: 12,07,277 precautionary dose: 85,568).
The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.68 per cent and for the second dose is 51.42 per cent, it mentioned.
