No new COVID-19 case, death reported in Manipur in 24 hours

There are eight active COVID-19 cases in Manipur as of Friday.

Manipur on Friday recorded zero new COVID-19 positive cases, confining the state's tally at 1,37,225 and the death toll also remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, the state also reported zero recovery, confining the number of recovered cases at 1,35,097. The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent. Manipur now has eight COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 350 oxygen cylinders and 97 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,53,051 (first dose: 15,58,738 second dose: 12,08,044 precautionary dose: 86,269).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.68 per cent and for the second dose is 51.44 per cent, it mentioned.
