Mizoram: No new COVID-19 case in  seven districts

The number of COVID-19 active cases in Mizoram dipped to nine on Saturday.

No new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in seven districts of Mizoram after the recovery of the active cases, according to the state's Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).

The seven districts are Lunglei, Siaha, Kolasib, Serchhip, Lawngtlai, Khawzawl and Hnahthial.

As per the latest updates by the DIPR, the number of COVID-19 active cases dipped below 10 on Saturday.

The COVID-19 active caseload in Mizoram is now nine as five more patients, including four from Aizawl and one from Saitual recovered from the infection in a span of 24 hours, the DIPR posted on Twitter on Saturday.

The state's recovery rate reached 99.57 per cent, the DIPR stated.

Among the active cases, Aizawl has the maximum cases with four, followed by Champhai with three, and Mamit and Saitual with one case each, the DIPR stated.

Mizoram has so far recorded 4,428 COVID-19 cases, of which 4,409 patients have recovered while 10 persons succumbed to the novel coronavirus, according to the DIPR.
