Mizoram: COVID-19 positive cases rise to 107

Of the 107 COVID-19 positive cases reported in the state, 106 cases are active.

The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Mizoram rose to 107,  53 males and 54 females, as three more persons tested positive for the  virus, official sources said on Saturday.

Two females and one male tested positive for COVID-19 at Zoram Medical College (ZMC) in Aizawl in the last 24 hours. They were among the 403 samples tested, DIPR Mizoram posted on Twitter.

The DIPR said the three, aged between 24-57, are from Aizawl and had recently returned from outside the state.

"Out of 403 samples tested on 12.6.2020, 3 samples (1 male, 2 female) were found positive taking the total cases in Mizoram to 107. All are from Aizawl District, between ages 24 -57. They are recent returnees from outside the state and are already admitted at ZMC," DIPR Mizoram tweeted.

Of the 107 COVID-19 positive cases reported in the state, 106 cases are active, the DIPR said. The state's first COVID-19 patient has recovered and has been discharged from hospital.

Mizoram is yet to register any COVID-19 related death till date.
