Manipur's COVID-19 tally on Tuesday rose to 1,39,537 with the addition of 18 new cases while the death toll remained 2,143 with no new report of COVID-related deaths, according to the latest update by the state health department.
The day's positivity rate is 4.0 per cent.
On Tuesday a total of 446 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur. The state has so far conducted 16,40,837 COVID-19 tests.
Among the new cases, five cases each were reported from Imphal East and Imphal West, two cases each from Churachandpur and Ukhrul, and one each from Bishnupur, Kakching, Pherzawl and Senapati. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, according to a release issued by COVID-19 Common Control Room.
The release also stated that 25 persons were discharged after completion of surveillance, and the number of recovered cases was 1,37,245. The recovery rate was 98.36 per cent and the number of active cases as on Tuesday was 149, it stated.
Meanwhile, a total of 44 D-type oxygen cylinders and 11 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of August 15.
The number of beds available at JNIMS is 30 of 38 total beds, while at RIMS, it is 55 of 62 total beds as of Tuesday.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 31,45,312 (first dose: 16,23,321 second dose: 12,94,400 and precautionary dose: 2,27,591).
The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 62.27 per cent and for the second dose is 54.21 per cent, it mentioned.
