Manipur's daily COVID-19 tally rises to 23, tally reaches 1,25,650

Fourteen new COVID-19 recoveries were reported in Manipur on Monday.

Manipur's daily COVID-19 tally rose to 23 on Monday from Sunday's 14. With these new positive cases, the state's tally rose to 1,25,650 while the death toll remained at 1,995 with zero fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 2.5 per cent.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, Imphal West reported 12 new COVID-19 cases; another eight cases were reported from Imphal East and one case each from Bishnupur, Chandel and Kangpokpi.

The state also recorded 14 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,23,451. The recovery rate is 98.25 per cent. Manipur now has 204 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 252 D-type oxygen cylinders and 77 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 22,69,924 (first dose: 13,11,828 second dose: 9,58,096). The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 56.04 per cent and for the second dose is 40.93 per cent, it mentioned.
