Manipur's daily COVID-19 tally drops 10

Five new COVID-19 cases were reported from Imphal West, another four cases each from Imphal East and one from Churachandpur.

Manipur on Friday recorded 10 new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,25,788 while the death toll remained at 2,002 with zero fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 0.9 per cent.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, five new COVID-19 cases were reported from Imphal West, another four cases each from Imphal East and one from Churachandpur.

The state also recorded one new recovery, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,23,587. The recovery rate is 98.25 per cent. Manipur now has 199 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 600 D-type oxygen cylinders and 130 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 23,14,076 (first dose: 13,24,528 second dose: 9,89,548). The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 56.58 per cent and for the second dose is 42.27 per cent, it mentioned.
