Manipur's daily COVID-19 cases rise to 13

The cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Manipur reached 1,37,182 on Thursday.

Manipur on Thursday recorded 13 new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,182 while the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 1.9 per cent.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, of the 13 COVID-19 cases reported on Thursday, four cases were reported from Chandel, three from Imphal West, two each from Bishnupur and Churachandpur and one each from Imphal East and Kangpokpi.

The state also recorded three new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,35,014. The recovery rate is 98.42 per cent. Manipur now has 48 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 90 D-type oxygen cylinders and three B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to differenthealth facilities of Manipur as on April 13. .

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,10,697 (first dose: 15,49,415 second dose: 11,91,621 and precautionary dose: 69,661).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.61 per cent and for the second dose is 50.90 per cent, it mentioned.
