Manipur's COVID-19 tally rises to 1,25,627 as 14 more persons test positive

Manipur on Sunday recorded 14 new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,25,627 while the death toll remained at 1,995 with zero fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 1.2 per cent.

According to a release issued by State COVID-19 Common Control Room, Imphal West reported four new COVID-19 cases; another six cases were reported from Imphal East, three from Thoubal and one from Bishnupur.

The state also recorded 22 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,23,437. The recovery rate is 98.26 per cent. Manipur now has 195 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 306 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 72 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 22,68,207 (first dose: 13,11,232 second dose: 9,56,975). The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 56.01 per cent and for the second dose is 40.88 per cent, it mentioned.
