COVID-19 claimed two more lives in Manipur, pushing the death toll to 2,140 while 38 new positive cases were recorded on Wednesday, according to the latest updates by the state health department.
The day's positivity rate is 3.7 per cent. Manipur saw a total of 1,036 COVID-19 tests on Tuesday. The state has so far conducted 16,37,889 COVID-19 tests.
With the addition of the new positive cases, the state's tally reached 1,39,446.
Of the new cases, 11 were from Bishnupur, nine from Imphal West, seven from Imphal East, five from Ukhrul, two from Senapati, and one each from Bishupur, Kangpokpi, Tamenglong and Thoubal. While the two fatalities were from Bishnupur and Imphal East respectively, as per the update.
