The daily new COVID-19 positive cases in Manipur dropped below the 10-mark on Sunday with six new positive cases, while no deaths were reported, according to the latest update by the state health department.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases reached 1,39,508, including 2,143 deaths. The day's positivity rate is 2.4 per cent.
Of the new positive cases, three were reported in Imphal West, while one case each was reported in Bishnupur, Chandel and Imphal East.
Manipur saw a total of 251 COVID-19 tests on Sunday. The state has so far conducted as many as 16,39,947 COVID-19 tests.
The new cases confirmed are from other testing centres. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, according to a release issued by COVID-19 Common Control Room.
The release also stated that 25 persons were discharged after completion of surveillance, and the number of recovered cases was 1,37,201. The recovery rate was 98.35 per cent and the number of active cases as on Sunday was 164, it stated.
Meanwhile, a total of 173 D-type oxygen cylinders and one B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of August 13.
The number of beds available at JNIMS is 30 of 38 total beds, while at RIMS, it is 55 of 62 total beds as of Sunday.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 31,44,837 (first dose: 16,23,222 second dose: 12,94,256 and precautionary dose: 2,27,359).
The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 62.27 per cent and for the second dose is 54.21 per cent, it mentioned.
