Manipur's COVID-19 active cases drop to 38; recovery rate at 98.43 per cent

Manipur on Monday recorded six new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,162 while the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 2.2 per cent.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, Imphal West and Thoubal reported two new COVID-19 cases each, while Kakching and Tengnoupal reported one case each.

The state also recorded 12 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,35,004. The recovery rate is 98.43 per cent. Manipur now has 38 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 102 D-type oxygen cylinders and zero B-type oxygen cylinder have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as on April 10.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,04,455 (first dose: 15,48,014 second dose: 11,88,464 precautionary dose: 67,977).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.58 per cent and for the second dose is 50.77 per cent, it mentioned.
