Manipur reports seven new COVID-19 positive cases, zero death

The state on Wednesday recorded seven new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,34,796.

Manipur on Wednesday recorded seven new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's COVID-19 confirmed tally to 1,37,028 while the death toll remained at 2,118 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 0.7 per cent.

According to a release issued by State COVID-19 Common Control Room, four new COVID-19 cases were reported from Imphal East and another one each from Imphal West, Senapati and Thoubal.

The state also recorded seven new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,34,796. The recovery rate is 98.37 per cent. Manipur now has 114 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 283 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 91 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 27,59,416 (first dose: 15,24,503 second dose: 11,70,963 precautionary dose: 63,950).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.36 per cent and for the second dose is 50.02 per cent, it mentioned.
