Manipur reports one new COVID-19 case; active cases increase to two

The state continued to report zero new recoveries, confining the number of recovered cases to 1,35,110. The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent.

Manipur on Thursday recorded 1.3 per cent positivity rate with the detection of one new COVID-19 positive case, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,232. The death toll remained 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department.

According to a release issued by the State COVID-19 Common Control Room, the single COVID-19 case reported on Thursday is from Imphal West.

Meanwhile, a total of 97 Oxygen Cylinders and 21 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,88,518 (first dose: 15,67,990; second dose: 12,25,432 and precautionary dose at 95,096).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.84 per cent and for the second dose is 52.03 per cent, it mentioned.
