Manipur reports 11 new COVID-19 positive cases, zero death

Manipur has 205 COVID-19 active cases, while the state's confirmed caseload reached 1,25,661 as of Tuesday.

Manipur on Tuesday recorded 11 new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,25,661 while the death toll remained at 1,995 with zero fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 0.7 per cent.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, Imphal West reported four new COVID-19 cases; another six cases were reported from Imphal East and one case from Noney.

The state also recorded 10 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,23,461. The recovery rate is 98.25 per cent. Manipur now has 205 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 497 D-type oxygen cylinders and 97 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine reached 22,75,839 (first dose: 13,13,442 second dose: 9,62,397). The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 56.11 per cent and for the second dose is 41.11 per cent, it mentioned.
