Manipur logs three new COVID-19 cases, 0 death in 24 hours

One COVID-19 case each was reported from Imphal East, Thoubal and Chandel.

Manipur on Friday recorded three new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,185 while the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 1.7 per cent.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, of the three COVID-19 cases reported on Friday, one case each was reported from Imphal East, Thoubal and Chandel.

The state also reported two new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,35,016. The recovery rate is 98.42 per cent. Manipur now has 49 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 34 oxygen cylinders and six B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,11,318 (first dose: 15,49,579 second dose: 11,91,822 precautionary dose: 69,917).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.61 per cent and for the second dose is 50.91 per cent, it mentioned.
