Manipur on Tuesday recorded 91 new COVID-19 cases pushing the state's tally to 1,38,722, according to the latest update by the state health department.
The death toll remained 2,126 with zero death cases on Tuesday.
A total of 1,013 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur on Tuesday. Manipur has so far conducted 16,28,276 COVID-19 tests. The day's positivity rate is 9 per cent.
Among the new COVID-19 cases reported on Tuesday, 39 were from Imphal West, 13 from Imphal East, 12 from Bishnupur, six from Senapati, five from Kakching, two each from Chandel, Churachandpur, Thoubal and Ukhrul, and one each from Kangpokpi, Tamenglong and Tengnoupal, according to release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room.
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.
The state also recorded 88 new recoveries, increasing the cumulative number of COVID-19 recovered cases in the state to 1,35,988 and the recovery rate is 98.3 per cent. Manipur has 608 active cases as of Tuesday.
